We’re looking for an experienced Auditor to join a local authority on an interim basis. This is an opportunity to take on challenging, high-profile work within a well-established team.
The role will focus on complex, high-risk audit assignments, rather than routine system audits, with particular emphasis on capital programme audits.
Key requirements:
- Strong local government internal audit experience
- Proven experience delivering complex/high-risk audits
- Good understanding of capital programmes and their relationship with the Medium-Term Financial Plan
- Knowledge of PMO structures, business cases and project governance
- Confident engaging with and challenging senior stakeholders
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal learning curve
- 6-12month contract
- Remote
- Lucrative day rate
