Vivid are working with London Borough Council is seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join its legal team on an initial 3-month locum contract.
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of adult social care matters, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Court of Protection work and DoLS.
The role will also involve advocacy and representing the Council in court, so candidates should be confident conducting their own advocacy.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous local authority Adult Social Care experience
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005
Experience handling Court of Protection matters and DoLS
Experience conducting advocacy and representing clients in court
Availability to start at short notice
