About the role
Our client is looking for an experienced ZZP Projectleider W to lead the mechanical installation side of complex utility projects in the Eindhoven region. The projects take place in demanding environments such as hospitals, laboratories, cleanrooms and high-tech facilities. In settings like these, the quality of the mechanical installations directly affects how the building performs.
As Projectleider W, you will lead the W-scope of projects on both the technical content and the process. On the technical side, that means keeping a firm grip on mechanical building services such as HVAC, climate control, piping and process-related installations, and making sure solutions are technically sound and fit the requirements of the environment. On the process side, it means managing planning, coordination, budget awareness, quality and alignment with other disciplines, contractors and stakeholders throughout the project.
This is a senior, self-employed role for a hands-on project leader with strong technical knowledge who is used to taking ownership. You will work independently and act as a reliable point of reference for the mechanical scope, from preparation through to execution and delivery. The aim is to start at short notice.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical (W) part of complex utility projects, both technically and procedurally
- Act as the main point of responsibility for the mechanical installation scope from preparation through to delivery
- Check and steer technical solutions, making sure they meet project requirements and the demands of critical environments
- Manage planning, progress and coordination of the W-scope
- Work with other disciplines, including electrical (E), construction and engineering teams
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Keep an eye on quality, safety, budget and contractual agreements within the mechanical scope
- Spot risks and technical issues early and drive practical solutions
- Report on progress and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project
Requirements
Essential
- Extensive senior experience as a project leader in mechanical installation technology (werktuigbouwkundige installatietechniek)
- Experience with complex utility projects such as hospitals, laboratories, cleanrooms or high-tech environments
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services
- Able to lead projects on both content and process
- A hands-on, independent working style and comfort with taking responsibility
- Available to start at short notice on a ZZP / interim basis
Desirable
- Experience in environments such as ASML, J&J or MSD, or comparable complex projects
- Experience with cleanroom, laboratory or pharmaceutical installation requirements
