Job Title: Work Preparator/Werkvoorbereider (Concrete – Industrial Sites)
Location: Zeeland, Netherlands
Normal Working Schedule: 5 days per week (flexible to part time should you need, remote working flexibility pending the stage of the project)
Project: Multiple projects relating to Concrete/Foundation packages for the same client working on projects linked to Energy fields/Energy transmission in Zeeland.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Freelance Contract (12 months)
 
About the Client:

Our client is an Engineering client specialised in Civil works for Industrial clients (oil & gas, energy, FMCG factories etc..) with more of a focus on foundations and concrete works for brownfield and greenfield civil works.

Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Work Preparator/Werkvoorbereider to immediately join and work on several projects in Zeeland working on the Concrete/Foundation package for  sites related to the energy transmission/energy fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Join a small team of work preparators/werkvoorbereiders for the main contractor for the Civil Works, working on a multiple project relating to 
  • As a work preparator/werkvoorbereider, you will be focussed on the Concrete and Foundations package on several projects (€3M -> €8M) in the Zeeland area for a client involved with Energy transmission/fields linked to the Energy Grid of the Netherlands.
  • There are 2 phases to each project, phase 1 is the engineering phase where the final client (sometimes together with the main contractor’s engineering team) make the designs/drawings – your role in this phase will not be to make drawings, but to advise and support the client/engineering team to look if it’s a good solution/advise on alternative solutions etc.. phase 2 is the build phase where you will be more heavily involved in the projects (running simultaneously).
  • You will follow all the standard werkvoorbereider tasks to ensure the construction managers can continue their jobs seamlessly by getting everything in place on time, ensure all is planned and arranged, order/purchase the materials and equipment and ensuring it arrives at the right time for each phase.
  • Help to prepare financial reports, making the project costs transparent, ensuring all activities are prepared based on procedures, make risk analysis for each phase, preparing effective & detailed working methods, work plans, working schedules and time schedules, and elaborating on each of these for the preparation phase of each stage of the project, ensuring procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Draw up work instructions, ensure the inspection of materials and the equipment is checked, maintaining contact with commissioning team, co-ordinating with subcontracts, keep contact with the client to ensure they are constantly updated and discuss any changes to the project/contract, plan for each stage and ensure all the concrete and foundation work is done in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
  • Implement the safety plan from the risk analysis, ensure all subcontractors have a good safety plan and that it’s delivered in time.
  • Keep up to date with all reporting and ensure it’s available to the necessary stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience as a Work Preparator/werkvoorbereider on Civil projects (ideally focussed on Concrete/foundation packages).
  • Experience working on industrial or energy sites/projects is a bonus.
  • English & Dutch speaking.

Contract Details
Location: Zeeland, Netherlands.
Normal working schedule: 5 days per week (can be part time if you require, remote working flexibility pending the stage of the project).
Duration: 12 Month freelance contract.
Rate type: All-Inclusive Hourly Rate.
