About the Client:
Our client is a fast-growing logistics organisation with multiple warehouse locations across the Netherlands. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced WMS Consultant to support warehouse growth, optimise systems, and improve operational processes.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a freelance WMS Consultant to support the further development and expansion of warehouses and distribution centres across multiple Dutch locations. You will work independently on system improvements, backlog items, implementations, and operational initiatives within a dynamic logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will support the continued growth and expansion of warehouses and logistics operations across multiple sites in the Netherlands
- You will independently manage backlog items and ongoing initiatives, ensuring structure, prioritisation, and delivery
- You will optimise and implement Warehouse Management Systems, with a strong focus on Boltrics and similar ERP solutions such as Navision or Business Central
- You will analyse and improve internal warehouse processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and continuity
- You will translate new initiatives and operational challenges into clear improvement projects and action plans
- You will support technical tasks such as scanner configurations, device reprogramming, and WMS process setup
- You will manage integrations and mappings between WMS, ERP, and other operational systems
- You will coordinate with internal stakeholders including operations, IT, and management to successfully deliver projects
- You will proactively step into ad-hoc tasks and drive progress in a fast-paced environment
- You will have the opportunity to grow within an organisation with continuous projects and improvement programmes
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong independent and proactive working style
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems
- Experience with Boltrics is highly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as Navision or Business Central
- Experience in process optimisation, implementations, and project-based work
- Languages: Dutch & English
Contract Details:
- Location: Fully remote possible, initially on-site client location in Gelderland, Netherlands
- Duration: 12 months + possible extensions
- Schedule: 8–40 hours per week
- Rate: Competitive hourly rate depending on experience and qualifications
