Job Title: Technical Writer
Location:  Wommelgem, Belgium
Remote working: 50% onsite, 50% remote working from home.
Normal Working Schedule: 5 days per week, 40 hours per week.
Project: Multiple projects where you will be expected to produce high-quality, consistent and user-friendly documentation delivered on time for internal and external users of the clients’ machines. Produce professional 3D illustrations using Creo Illustrate that clearly support complex maintenance, cleaning and operational activities of the machines. Make a pro-active contribution to the standardisation and continuous improvement of technical documentation of the machines. (A large part of this project is advancing the current 2D/picture technical documentation to making 3D designs for the technical documentation).

About the Client:
Our client is a large multinational client specialised in making machines used predominantly in the pharmaceutical and food & drink industry. 

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Writer with expertise in Creo Illustrate to be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating technical manuals for the clients Machines and Installations into their workshops and clients’ facilities (GxP environments). You should ensure that the documentation complies with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, internal guidelines and customer requirements. In addition, you’ll be responsible for creating high-quality 3D illustrations for maintenance, cleaning and operating instructions using Creo Illustrate. Ensure that all deliverables are produced to a high standard and within the predefined planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical manuals (installation, operation, maintenance and cleaning manuals) for the machines.
• Write clear and user-friendly instructions for operators, maintenance technicians and end users.
• Develop and update standard documentation modules and templates.
• Create 3D technical illustrations for maintenance, cleaning, assembly and operating instructions using Creo Illustrate.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and production teams to gather and accurately process technical information in documentation.
• Review and update existing manuals based on design changes, lessons learned and project feedback.
• Ensure a consistent structure, terminology and layout throughout all technical documentation.
• Archives and manages historical versions of manuals according to applicable procedures.
• Support standardisation initiatives and continuous improvement of technical documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience with Creo Illustrate for 3D technical illustrations of machines.
• Mechanical Design Knowledge (for machines used in production).
• English speaking.
• Accurate, Punctual and strong communication skills.
