About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect to bridge the gap between system architecture and engineering design within a highly advanced mechatronics environment.
In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and be responsible for aligning system architecture with mechanical, optical, software, and electronics engineering activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring technical coherence across complex mechatronic systems while supporting project delivery and future business growth.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to expand your influence into technical strategy, customer engagement, and project acquisition activities as you develop within the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall system architecture for advanced mechatronic systems.
- Ensure alignment between system requirements, architecture, and engineering implementation.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, software, optics, and electronics engineering disciplines.
- Drive technical decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Support technical evaluations and contribute to future project acquisition and business development activities.
- Act as the technical link between system-level requirements and engineering design solutions.
Requirements
Essential
- Strong experience in systems architecture within complex mechatronic environments.
- Proven ability to connect system-level architecture with engineering design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of optical systems and optics engineering.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred
- Background in the semiconductor or supply chain automation industry.
- Experience working with optical mechatronic systems.
- Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies and best practices.
- Dutch language skills are advantageous.
