Title – Housing Support Manager
Length of contract – 6 Months
Rate – Competitve 
Start Date – ASAP
Location – Cambridgeshire 

Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage supported housing services, ensuring high standards of occupancy management, rent collection, resident engagement, behaviour management, and service performance. As well as supporting with the recruitment drive. The postholder will also oversee funded projects as required and contribute to the organisation’s strategic and operational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage housing operations, including rent collection, occupancy levels, voids, resident engagement, complaints, and behaviour management.
  • Lead, supervise, recruit, and develop the housing team.
  • Monitor performance against targets and produce reports for senior management.
  • Manage funded programmes and designated budgets, ensuring value for money and effective delivery.
  • Maintain accurate client records and complete required reporting and compliance returns.
  • Act as Duty Manager, responding to safeguarding, staffing, resident, and operational issues.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency support as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, housing regulations, and relevant standards.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Person Specification

  • Experience within housing or supported housing services, including rent collection, occupancy management, resident behaviour issues, and complaints handling.
  • Experience of managing staff, performance, and complex workloads.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and reporting skills.
  • Good understanding of social housing and housing management principles.
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and housing management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Able to undertake site patrols and respond to operational issues as required.
