Freelance Bauleiter / Site Manager (Deutsche Bahn Projects)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Bauleiter / Site Manager to support a major railway infrastructure project in Germany. The successful candidate will have proven experience working on Deutsche Bahn projects and will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily construction site operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure all works are executed in accordance with Deutsche Bahn standards and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee quality assurance processes.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues to minimize project delays.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and site records.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and project management teams.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bauleiter / Site Manager on railway or infrastructure projects.
- Mandatory experience working on Deutsche Bahn projects.
- Strong understanding of German construction regulations, railway standards, and safety requirements.
- Excellent coordination and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
Language Requirements
- Fluent German (mandatory).
- Professional English proficiency.

- Daily Working Hours: 10 hours
- Weekly Working Hours: 50–60 hours
