Site Facilities Engineer – Process Chemicals, Gas & Water Systems
Position Summary
The Site Facilities Engineer – Process Utilities is responsible for the design, operation, expansion and reliability of all process utility systems supporting III-V semiconductor manufacturing. This includes specialty gas distribution, chemical distribution, wastewater treatment, process water systems and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Specialty Gas Systems
· Manage bulk and specialty gas distribution systems.
· Support installation of new gas cabinets and gas distribution lines.
· Review P&IDs and gas distribution layouts.
· Ensure safe operation of hazardous gas systems.
· Coordinate gas monitoring and leak detection systems.
Chemical Distribution
· Manage chemical storage and distribution systems.
· Coordinate installation of new chemical delivery systems.
· Support process equipment hook-up.
· Review compatibility of piping materials and chemicals.
Water Systems
· Manage DI water production and distribution.
· Oversee industrial water treatment systems.
· Support wastewater collection and treatment.
· Coordinate process cooling water systems where applicable.
Waste Treatment
· Manage chemical wastewater treatment installations.
· Coordinate waste collection and disposal contractors.
· Ensure environmental compliance.
Projects
· Support expansion of cleanroom utility infrastructure.
· Coordinate installation of process utility piping.
· Manage contractor activities.
· Develop technical specifications.
· Participate in FAT/SAT and commissioning.
Compliance
· Ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
· Support permitting activities.
· Maintain P&IDs and utility documentation.
· Coordinate inspections.
Reliability
· Develop preventive maintenance strategies.
· Analyze utility failures.
· Improve system reliability and uptime.
Required Qualifications
· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
· 5+ years experience with industrial process utilities.
· Experience with hazardous chemical handling.
· Experience with specialty gas distribution.
· Experience with wastewater treatment.
Preferred Experience
· Semiconductor industry.
