Commissioning/Software Engineer – Maritime Automation
Join our innovative software team working on cutting-edge maritime projects. As a Commissioning/Software Engineer, you’ll be technically responsible for developing automation solutions for ships and yachts. You’ll collaborate across departments, participate in project meetings, and take ownership of the software lifecycle – from writing PLC and HMI code to testing and supporting commissioning, both remotely and on-site. The client works on frequent but short projects, typically in the range of 2-3 weeks per project. Overseas travel is expected for this role and includes the possibility to work on other short-term projects with this client going forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop PLC and HMI software for ship and yacht automation (Beckhoff / Twincat 3)
Test and optimize software in-house
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across projects
Support commissioning activities remotely or on location
