About the Client: Our client is a leading global engineering and technology organisation delivering innovative solutions across the automotive sector. They are undertaking a major programme focused on next-generation vehicle platforms, connected services, infotainment systems, and embedded software architectures. The project requires a highly experienced Systems Architect to support the design and delivery of complex automotive systems within a multidisciplinary international team.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Architect to lead the architecture, design, and integration of complex automotive and embedded systems. The successful consultant will work closely with software, hardware, systems engineering, and product teams to define scalable architectures that support current and future vehicle technologies. This role is ideally suited to an architect with extensive experience across automotive systems, embedded software, hardware integration, infotainment platforms, and system-level engineering methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and maintain end-to-end system architecture for automotive and embedded platforms.
• Lead architecture decisions across hardware, software, networking, and infotainment domains.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable system designs.
• Drive systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, decomposition, traceability, and validation.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, product, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support integration activities across embedded software, operating systems, middleware, and hardware components.
• Ensure architecture compliance with automotive industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and architecture governance activities.
• Support stakeholder communication and provide technical leadership across multiple project streams.
• Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and future platform strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in Systems Architecture, Systems Engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
• Extensive experience within the automotive industry.
• Strong background in embedded systems architecture and real-time systems.
• Proven experience delivering complex infotainment, connectivity, or vehicle electronic systems.
• Deep understanding of both hardware and software integration principles.
• Experience with systems engineering methodologies and requirements management tools.
• Strong knowledge of system modelling and architectural frameworks.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, embedded Linux, RTOS environments, and modern vehicle architectures is highly desirable.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams in large-scale programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Kraków, Poland.
• Must be eligible to operate as a freelance/B2B contractor in Poland.
