Senior Product Design Engineer – Utrecht (hybrid) – 12 months
A client of mine is in search for a creative and detail-oriented product design engineer where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving consumer products from concept through production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, and suppliers to bring innovative products to life that meet user needs and business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new products from concept through production.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Conduct design feasibility studies, FMEA, and tolerance analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications, performance goals, and timelines.
- Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and components based on cost, performance, and sustainability.
- Build and test prototypes, iterate designs based on feedback and test results.
- Support manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams to ensure design intent is realized in production.
