🏛️ Planning Enforcement Officer | Essex | 6-Month Contract
£45 per hour | Approx. £4,400 take-home per month | Hybrid working
We’re looking for an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to join a busy planning team in Essex on an initial 6-month contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied caseload, working across a range of planning enforcement matters and making a real impact within the local area.
The role:
- 💷 £45 per hour
- 📅 6-month contract
- 📍 Essex
- 🏢 Weekly office/site presence required
- 📂 Varied and interesting enforcement caseload
- 🏘️ Investigating alleged breaches of planning control
- ⚖️ Managing cases from initial investigation through to resolution
- 🤝 Working closely with colleagues, stakeholders and members of the public
We’re looking for:
- Previous experience in planning enforcement
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation and enforcement procedures
- Excellent case management and investigative skills
- Confidence dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload
