Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Medical Industry)
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join the client in developing innovative medical devices. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing mechanical components used in advanced healthcare technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design and develop mechanical parts for medical devices.
-Perform simulations (FEA, CFD), tolerance analysis, and material selection to ensure performance and reliability.
-Support prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.
-Work with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for production and cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
-5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the medical device or high-precision industries.
-Proficiency with CAD software
-Understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding, machining), and medical device regulations.
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-English required, Dutch is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
-Experience with medical device development lifecycle.
-Background in mechatronics or biomechanics is an advantage.
