Job Title: RF Verification and Validation Engineer
Location: Wallonia Region, Belgium
Normal Working Schedule: 40 hours per week
Project: Satellite integration, verification and validation project (60+ satellites).
Start Date: 01/10/2026
Contract Type: Freelance Contract, 12 months (with an 18 month extension).
About the Client:
Our client, operating in the Space Industry, are working on a large satellite project (60+ satellites) and specifically focussed on the complete integration, verification and validation of all developed elements and technologies linked to the direct-to-device digital satellite multi-band phased array antenna, the 5G-NTN Software Stack and the next-gen virtualised, digital, SD and scalable ground segments of the project.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an RF Engineer to work on the preliminary design and development of the testbed, make a detailed design of the Test lab, write the Verification and Validation Plan before executing your plan for the RF/5G-NTN Software stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- For Preliminary Design and Development of the Testbed, you will support the technical baseline definition.
- Design, procure and develop the integration testbed infrastructure. Including hardware platforms, software environments, network emulators, channel simulators, and UE simulators for sub-system level functional testing.
- Make a detailed design and install the Test Lab, as well as writing the verification and validation plan.
- Produce the detailed testbed architecture design document and develop the comprehensive verification and validation plan (VVP) including test procedures, test configurations, pass/fail criteria and full traceability to system requirements. This activity will consist in the installation of the test lab.
- Execute the verification and validation plan on 1 prototype in RSS.
- Conduct sub-system integration testing, functional testing, network performance testing, interoperability testing and regression testing per the VVP.
Candidate Requirements:
- Specialist in the RF domain, in particular with 5G NTN technology.
- Test engineer skills and knowledge of space missions.
- Knowledge of ESA ECSS Standards
- English speaking.

Normal working schedule: 40 hours per week.
Duration: 12 months + 18 months (expected to run until February 2029).
Rate type: All-inclusive Hourly/Daily Rate.
