Role Overview:
This is a freelance part-time position for a Quality Manager based in the Brussels region. You will be responsible for overseeing the QMS, ensuring compliance with industry standards, conducting audits, and driving improvements. The role offers flexibility, requiring 1-2 days on-site per week, and is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate. Experience in the food industry is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the established Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Conduct internal audits and ensure the company meets all regulatory and quality requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain and update accurate documentation for all quality-related activities, including audits and corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate quality into all operational processes.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier quality to ensure alignment with company standards.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in quality management, ideally within a regulated industry such as food manufacturing or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.
- Experience conducting internal audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to train and guide teams on quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions autonomously.
- Fluency in English is required.
Desirable:
- Experience in the food industry or food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Experience with additional quality certifications (e.g., ISO 13485, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with industries such as food production, manufacturing, or healthcare.
- Knowledge of Dutch is desirable.
