QA Supervisor – Civil Construction – Contract – Antwerp
About the role
Our client is looking for an experienced QA Supervisor to support quality assurance activities across major civil construction projects, including road civil works and tunnel construction.
You will be responsible for supervising quality activities on site, ensuring inspection and test plans are implemented effectively and that project requirements, Belgian and EU standards and contractual obligations are met.
The role requires someone who is comfortable working across site teams, subcontractors and clients, with strong process management skills and the ability to maintain accurate QA documentation and digital reporting. Experience with concrete works would be advantageous.
Main responsibilities
- Supervise quality assurance activities across road civil works and tunnel construction.
- Implement and monitor QA procedures and inspection and test plans (ITPs) across site activities.
- Carry out and coordinate inspections, quality checks and testing, including concrete works.
- Manage non-conformance reports and drive corrective actions through to close-out.
- Maintain QA documentation, records and digital reporting systems.
- Liaise with the client, subcontractors and site teams regarding quality requirements.
- Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, Belgian and EU standards and contract requirements.
- Support project audits and quality reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of site processes and quality procedures.
- Work closely with project and construction teams to identify and address quality issues throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a QA Supervisor on civil construction projects.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes within civil construction.
- Experience working with inspection and test plans (ITPs).
- Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions through to resolution.
- Fluent Dutch, both spoken and written.
- EU passport or existing right to work in the EU.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with QA systems, digital reporting and Microsoft Office.
- Solid process management background.
- Experience working with concrete is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors and site teams.
