About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead the production operations in Genk.
The Production Manager will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day organisation and performance of the production department, managing approximately 120 FTE and leading a team of supervisors and production employees.
This is a key leadership position with a strong focus on people management, production planning, operational efficiency and safety. The position is available for an immediate start following the departure of the previous Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production organisation of approximately 120 FTE.
- Provide clear leadership, direction and support to production teams and supervisors.
- Organise and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer requirements and production targets.
- Ensure production plans are delivered efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor productivity, output, downtime and overall production performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and capacity.
- Ensure production resources, manpower and equipment are effectively planned and utilised.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and environmental standards across the production site.
- Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and actively promote a strong safety culture.
- Work closely with maintenance, quality, logistics and management to resolve operational issues.
- Manage and develop supervisors and team leaders, creating a motivated and accountable production organisation.
- Address performance, staffing and operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
- Report production performance, issues and improvement actions to senior management.
