Vivid Resourcing
Private Client Solicitor
About the role
Vivid Resourcing is working with a well-established law firm in Kent that is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor on a locum basis.
The successful candidate will join an established legal team and provide support across a varied Private Client caseload, with a particular focus on wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), probate and estate administration.
This is an opportunity for a solicitor who is confident managing Private Client matters independently and is able to provide clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout what can often be complex and sensitive circumstances. You will be expected to manage your own caseload, communicate directly with clients and ensure matters progress efficiently and accurately.
The role will involve advising clients on their personal and family affairs, preparing and reviewing legal documentation, and supporting clients through the administration of estates. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle matters with professionalism and sensitivity will be important.
Our client is looking for someone who can make an immediate contribution to the team. The assignment is offered on a rolling basis, making it well suited to an experienced locum solicitor who is looking for flexibility while continuing to work within an established legal practice.
The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, providing a balance between remote working and collaboration with the wider legal team.
Main responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of Private Client matters from initial instruction through to completion.
- Advise clients on the preparation and execution of wills.
- Draft, review and amend wills in accordance with clients’ individual circumstances and requirements.

- Prepare and review estate administration documentation.
- Undertake the necessary legal and administrative work associated with the administration of estates.
- Review relevant financial, property and legal documentation as part of estate administration.
- Communicate clearly with clients, beneficiaries, executors and other relevant parties throughout the progress of matters.
- Provide practical and commercially appropriate legal advice based on each client’s circumstances.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive matter records and ensure all relevant deadlines are met.
- Manage competing priorities across a busy caseload while maintaining a high standard of client service.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider legal team where matters require input from other areas of the firm.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant legal, regulatory and professional standards.
- Identify potential issues or risks and escalate matters where appropriate.
- Keep clients informed throughout the lifecycle of their matters and provide clear explanations of legal processes where required.
