🚨 Principal Planning Officer – Midlands Local Authority 🚨
I’m currently working with a Midlands-based Local Authority looking to appoint an experienced Principal Planning Officer on an initial 6-month contract.
📍 Midlands
🏡 Hybrid Working – 1 day per week in the office
📅 6-Month Contract
💰 Competitive Hourly Rate
This role will see you managing a varied caseload of major applications, with a particular focus on:
✅ Employment development proposals
✅ Strategic housing applications
✅ Renewable energy schemes
✅ Complex planning applications and negotiations
✅ Working closely with developers, consultees and senior stakeholders
✅ Preparing reports and presenting recommendations where required
The council is seeking an experienced Development Management planner who can hit the ground running and confidently manage major applications from submission through to determination.
Previous Local Authority experience is essential, and experience dealing with large-scale housing, employment and renewable energy projects would be highly advantageous.
