Embedded Test Engineer (Medior–Senior)
Overview
For a customer of ours, we are currently searching for a Medior to Senior Embedded Test Engineer to work on the firmware layer of telecommunication networks. The role will focus on software testing of new firmware features that are scheduled for delivery before the end of the year.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test cases for embedded firmware
Create and maintain test scripts and automated test frameworks
Perform software testing on firmware running on embedded and Linux-based systems
Collaborate closely with embedded software and hardware engineers
Identify, analyze, and report defects and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Support CI/CD pipelines related to testing where applicable
Required Qualifications
4–7+ years of experience working within embedded systems and hardware environments
5+ years of experience with Python
Strong experience with test case design, scripting, and test automation
Hands-on experience with Robot Framework
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
Nice to Have
Experience or affinity with Jenkins and/or Docker
Affinity with IP networks and/or telecommunication systems

Location: Antwerp (3 days onsite per week)
Start Date: Immediate – February
Contract Length: 6–12 months
