A market-leading Local Authority in Scotland are seeking a full-time Development Management Planner to join the team.
Role Overview
- Development Management Planner position on an initial 6-month contract basis with a strong likelihood of extension
- Managing a caseload of local applications and householder applications
- Full-time position (37 Hours)
- £35–40 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage a caseload of local and householder planning applications
- Prepare reports and recommendations for decision
- Undertake site visits where required
- Liaise with applicants, agents, consultees, and members of the public
- Ensure applications are processed in line with statutory timeframes and local planning policy
Requirements:
- Degree in Town Planning or related discipline
- Previous Development Management experience within a Local Authority setting
- Experience dealing with local applications and householders
- Ability to manage a caseload independently from the outset
- Previous Scottish Local Authority ExperienceÂ
