We are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded London Borough to recruit an experienced Locum Planning Lawyer on an initial contract basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-structured legal team, offering a high degree of flexibility with predominantly remote working and minimal office attendance.
The Role
- Manage a varied caseload of planning and highways matters
- Provide legal advice on:
- Planning applications
- Section 106 agreements
- Enforcement matters
- Planning appeals and inquiries
- Support planning committees (attendance required approximately once per month)
- Work closely with planning officers and senior stakeholders across the authority
About You
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer
- Proven experience working within local government planning law
- Comfortable handling matters autonomously with minimal supervision
- Previous experience attending planning committees is desirable
