Senior Planning Enforcement Officer
Location: Surreys (Hybrid – 1 day per week in office)
Rate: £40–£55 per hour
Contract: 6 Months (Initial)
We are currently supporting a Local Authority in Surrey seeking an experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to take the lead on complex enforcement cases within a well-established planning service, offering flexible hybrid working with just one day per week required in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a caseload of complex planning enforcement investigations
Investigate alleged breaches of planning control, including site visits and evidence gathering
Prepare and serve enforcement notices and take appropriate legal action where required
Provide professional advice to internal stakeholders, elected members, and the public
Represent the Council at appeals, hearings, and public inquiries
Support and mentor junior officers where required
