Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Experience: Ideally 2+ years’ planning experience, although applications from candidates with relevant experience at other levels will be considered.

About the Role

An established and growing independent planning and development consultancy based in Stratford-upon-Avon is looking to appoint a Town Planner to join its experienced team.

The consultancy provides professional planning advice to a diverse range of private and public sector clients, including landowners, developers, businesses, individuals and other organisations. Its work covers a broad range of development projects, from individual residential schemes and rural projects through to larger residential, commercial, retail and industrial developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planner looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, with exposure to a wide variety of projects and the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for client work.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of planning and development work, including:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications and associated supporting documents.
• Providing planning advice and development appraisals to clients.
• Undertaking planning policy research and assessing development proposals against relevant national and local planning policy.
• Assisting with pre-application discussions and negotiations with Local Planning Authorities.
• Liaising with planning officers, architects, consultants, clients and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring planning applications and managing correspondence through to determination.
• Preparing planning statements, appeal documentation
