About the Role

Our trucking client is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner directly with business stakeholders, understand complex operational challenges, and build end-to-end solutions using the Palantir platform.

This isn’t a traditional software engineering position.

You’ll work alongside business leaders, product owners and engineering teams to rapidly prototype, deploy and scale applications that solve real operational problems.

You’ll own projects from discovery through production while helping shape the client’s long-term Palantir strategy.

What You’ll Do

Customer Engagement

• Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and define technical solutions
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable Palantir applications
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with technical and non-technical users
• Challenge existing processes and recommend new ways of working using Foundry and AIP
• Become a trusted advisor across both business and technology teams

Solution Delivery

• Design and build production-grade solutions within Palantir Foundry
• Develop scalable data pipelines using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories
• Build Ontologies that accurately model business operations
• Develop Workshop applications and operational dashboards
• Create Action Workflows that automate business processes
• Build AI-enabled workflows leveraging AIP, LLMs and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Integrate external systems using APIs and event-driven architectures
• Optimize existing Foundry implementations for performance and scalability

Technical Leadership

• Lead technical design discussions across multiple workstreams
• Define engineering standards and best practices
• Mentor engineers and support solution delivery teams
• Drive proof-of-concepts through to enterprise production deployments
• Own architecture decisions across data models, Ontology, AI applications and integrations

Platform Innovation

• Identify opportunities where AI can automate operational workflows
• Prototype new applications using AIP
• Design reusable components across multiple business domains
• Improve deployment velocity through automation and modular engineering practices

Required Experience

• 5+ years building enterprise data applications
• 3+ years hands-on Palantir Foundry experience
• Experience delivering customer-facing technology projects
• Strong Python and PySpark
• Experience with:
