About the Client
Our client is a leading organisation within the industrial manufacturing sector, operating a large-scale, enterprise IT environment across multiple locations. They are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their infrastructure team on a long-term contract to replace an existing consultant.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the client’s network infrastructure. You will work within a complex enterprise environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the network landscape while contributing to infrastructure automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
Configure and support Cisco routing and switching environments.
Manage and optimise Fortinet firewall solutions.
Support VMware networking within virtualised environments.
Monitor network performance and proactively resolve incidents.
Assist with infrastructure automation using Ansible.
Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to deliver network improvements.
Produce and maintain technical documentation.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Network Engineer within enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls.
Experience supporting VMware environments.
Exposure to infrastructure automation using Ansible.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Fluent in both English and Dutch (mandatory).
