Medior/ Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

The Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a growing team developing cybersecurity products for Operational Technology (OT) environments.

You will play a key role in building the technical foundation that enables a small development team to deliver reliable, secure and scalable products to industrial customers.

The role combines DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, security and product development. You will have the opportunity to contribute not only to implementation, but also to architectural and product decisions.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Platform Engineering

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, security scanning and deployment.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code, containerisation and environment management.
• Implement secure secrets and configuration management.
• Support developers in delivering software continuously and reliably.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for new products and features.

Reliability & Quality

• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting across the product portfolio.
• Establish automated quality gates, testing and release criteria.
• Improve reliability, maintainability and observability of production environments.
• Take ownership of the quality and stability of software releases.

Dashboards & Product Development

• Design and develop security and administration dashboards.
• Turn telemetry, security findings and OT posture data into actionable insights.
• Build administration functionality including:User and tenant managementRoles and permissionsConfigurationAudit trailsSystem health
• Design solutions from the perspective of the end user, such as OT managers, plant engineers and CISOs.
• Use customer feedback to continuously improve product functionality and user experience.

Security

• Apply secure development and deployment practices.
• Work with authentication, authorisation, identity, data protection and dependency management.
• Implement security scanning and controls throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure that the company’s own products meet the high security standards expected from an OT cybersecurity provider.

Business & Product Alignment

• Translate product and commercial requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Challenge technical requirements when they do not address the underlying business need.
• Help establish clear development processes, standards and ways of working as the team grows.

Your Profile

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong experience across:Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)CI/CDInfrastructure as CodeContainersMonitoring and observability
• Demonstrable experience building security, operational or administration dashboards.
• Experience with tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Power BI or custom-built front-end dashboards.
• Good understanding of IT security, including secure development, infrastructure security, IAM, vulnerability management and patch management.
• Broad technical knowledge and the ability to connect different components across the technology stack.
• Strong customer-oriented mindset and ability to translate technical information into business value.
• Independent and proactive, with the ability to identify what needs to be done and take ownership.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable using AI tooling for development, debugging, documentation and testing while critically validating the output.

Nice to Have

• Experience within OT / ICS / industrial environments.
• Knowledge of OT cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIS2 or ISO 27001.
• Experience working with industrial or critical infrastructure customers.
