About the Client:
Our client is a contractor specializing in mission-critical infrastructure, including large-scale data centre developments across Europe. They are engaged in a high-profile project in Frankfurt and are seeking experienced a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in sprinkler installation and fire protection systems to support project delivery on-site.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced freelance Mechanical Engineer to join a data centre project team in Frankfurt. The successful candidates will play a key role in the installation and coordination of sprinkler and fire protection systems, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the installation of sprinkler and fire protection systems in line with project specifications and industry standards.
· Control and manage the delivery of materials, ensuring timely availability and correct specifications on-site.
· Coordinate and supervise subcontractors involved in installation activities.
· Monitor and manage site progress, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
· Work closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
· Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and FM Global requirements throughout installation.
· Identify and resolve technical or logistical issues during installation.
· Maintain accurate reporting on site progress and performance.
Candidate Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in sprinkler installation and fire protection systems.
· Previous experience working on data centre projects is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and FM Global guidelines.
· Proven experience managing subcontractors and site logistics.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
· Proficient English communication skills.
· Additional language skills (Polish, Czech, or Slovakian) are advantageous.
· Availability to start in June 2026 and commit to a 12-month contract.
Contract Details
Location: On-site in Frankfurt, Germany.
Duration: 12 months initial contract.
Rate: Depending on experience.
Working Hours: 5 days per week, approximately 50 hours per week.
Overtime: Potential overtime and weekend work (subject to confirmation).
Accommodation: Provided.
Travel: One return trip provided per month.
