We are looking for a Marine Systems Engineer with a solid foundation in HVAC engineering. The role focuses on system-level engineering in maritime applications, including balance systems, cargo systems, and the integration of HVAC into wider marine processes.
Context
Our projects involve maritime installations and systems, where HVAC and cargo systems are key to operational reliability.
The emphasis is on systems engineering rather than naval design: performing system calculations, designing process flow, and integrating mechanical, piping, and HVAC systems.
The engineer is expected to independently prepare and validate system calculations and diagrams, without relying on external contractors for ISOs or detailed drawings.
Responsibilities
Perform system calculations for marine installations (HVAC, cargo, and hybrid systems).
Design and prepare PFDs (process flow diagrams) and P&IDs (piping & instrumentation diagrams).
Develop and verify balance systems, ensuring correct integration of HVAC and process installations.
Work with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process) to achieve integrated system designs.
Coordinate with suppliers and construction partners during implementation.
Provide project reporting, including risk assessment and deviation management.
Profile
Strong background in Marine Systems Engineering, with base knowledge in HVAC engineering.
Experience in system-level design: process and piping diagrams, system calculations, and integration.
Skilled in preparing PFDs and P&IDs; knowledge of piping and process design is essential.
Capable of managing both the design phase and preparation for implementation.
