Role Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and compliance of production and facility equipment. You will carry out maintenance and calibration activities, support production lines, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams, you will help maintain a safe, efficient, and GMP-compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration activities according to established schedules to ensure equipment operates at optimal levels.
• Execute corrective maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures using structured root cause analysis methodologies.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of calibration plans, FMEAs, preventive maintenance strategies, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, calibration records, and technical documentation in eCMMS (Maximo).
• Monitor spare parts inventory, initiate procurement requests, and ensure availability of critical components to minimize downtime.
• Provide hands-on support to production lines, ensuring equipment safety, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in Operator Asset Care programs by preparing work instructions and training operators.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support investigations related to nonconformances.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and system upgrades.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, compliance, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including participation in risk assessments, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and incident reporting.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) in maintenance and production areas.
• Support audits and ensure all activities comply with GMP, ISO standards, and company policies.
Skills & Experience
• Completed technical education (MBO/HBO or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance and calibration within a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices or pharmaceuticals) and familiarity with GMP/ISO standards is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo or similar eCMMS).
• Knowledge of calibration processes and uncertainty calculations is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are preferred.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
