One of my government clients in Zuid-Holland is currently looking for a freelance Engineer particular specialising in Elasticsearch. This is a hybrid position, requiring a split between on-site and remote working. Meetings and documentation are in Dutch, therefore, a native/fluent Dutch speaker is required.
We are looking for an Elastic stack engineer who will help us with the Logging & Observability component.
In this role, you will manage a platform based on the Elastic Stack, which answers questions such as:
– What is the status of our application?
– Will I be notified when a new message is sent to the message box?
– Is the user experience good?
– What are the most resource-intensive actions and why?
– Are my actions recorded in an audit log?
You ensure that the Logging and Observability platform makes near real-time data available to our stakeholders.
Of course, you don’t work alone, but as part of a larger whole. You will act as a logging engineer in a platform team that enables DevOps teams to further develop the application.
What will you do:
– Configuration management of the Elastic stack (Beats, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) and the supporting components (Kafka and RedHat)
– Continuously improve the quality of data by collaborating with developers and administrators
– Professionalize the environment by automating management tasks and making them transferable
– Support in diagnosing and analyzing the issues within applications
