Licensing Officer

Licensing Officer | Interim Contract | Norfolk 

A local authority client in Norfolk is looking for an experienced Licensing Officer to provide support within their busy Licensing team.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and determining a range of licensing applications, including taxi, premises, personal and street trading licences.
• Providing advice and guidance to applicants, licence holders and members of the public.
• Investigating licensing complaints and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Preparing reports and attending Licensing Committee and Sub-Committee hearings where required.
• Working closely with internal departments and external agencies, including the Police and local businesses.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous Licensing experience within a local authority setting.
• Strong understanding of licensing legislation, including the Licensing Act 2003 and Taxi Licensing.
• Experience handling a varied caseload of licensing applications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
