About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical design projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions across multiple projects.
This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the mechanical engineering design and development of products, systems, or components from concept through production.
Oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical, budget, and schedule requirements.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Review and approve detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
Interface with suppliers and vendors to evaluate materials and components.
Continuously seek improvements in design, processes, and systems.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
Proficient in CAD software
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with FEA and other simulation tools is a plus.
Proven track record of leading engineering projects from concept to completion.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
