Freelance IT Infrastructure Administrator – Charleroi – Long-term
Our distribution client in Charleroi is looking for an experienced Freelance IT Infrastructure & Operations Administrator to strengthen their IT Infrastructure team, with a focus on proactive maintenance, operational security, system stability and compliance.
This is a 3 day per week role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Veeam Backup & Replication, including daily backup checks, failures and restore testing.
- Monitor VMware vSphere, virtual machines, VMware Tools, snapshots, capacity and system performance.
- Maintain Windows Server environments and handle Level 2/3 infrastructure incidents.
- Monitor Active Directory, DNS and DHCP health and availability.
- Manage antivirus compliance using Trend Micro Apex One.
- Analyse and prioritise vulnerabilities using Rapid7 InsightVM and coordinate remediation.
- Monitor Windows security updates and server patching.
- Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune administration.
- Optimise monitoring and alerting using ManageEngine OpManager.
- Maintain technical documentation and provide weekly reporting on infrastructure health, risks and ongoing actions.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in Microsoft systems and infrastructure administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Veeam.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience with antivirus, patch management and vulnerability management.
- PowerShell experience is beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting, organisation and documentation skills.
- Able to work autonomously and manage issues through to resolution.
Contract: Freelance – 3 days per week
