About the Client:
Our client is a leading organisation within the financial services sector, looking for an experienced Security Project Manager to strengthen their security posture and improve security governance processes.
Role Overview:
The Security Project Manager will be responsible for establishing and delivering a security roadmap based on identified gaps in current security foundations. The role will focus on improving security processes, reducing operational workload, and embedding continuous security governance across the organisation.
The successful candidate will combine strong project management capabilities with hands-on security and risk experience, working closely with technical teams to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, particularly within Microsoft Azure and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a security roadmap based on security gaps and priorities.
• Lead security improvement initiatives across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Perform and coordinate security risk assessments.
• Identify risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
• Align security initiatives with existing governance, risk and compliance processes.
• Work with stakeholders across security, infrastructure and business teams.
• Communicate security risks and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Candidate Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Security Project Manager or Cyber Security Project Manager.
• Strong understanding of information security, risk management and governance.
• Hands-on experience with security risk assessments.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud security principles.
• Experience implementing security roadmaps and improvement programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience within financial services or other regulated environments is preferred.
