IT Project Manager / Lead – Infrastructure & Installations

Contract / Full-Time: Contract – 6 months+
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Manager / Lead to oversee end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure installations, including both hardware and software deployments, across multiple sites.
This role sits at the intersection of IT, operations, and construction, so you’ll be coordinating everything from rack & stack, network installs, and device rollouts through to site readiness, vendor coordination, and construction meetings.
You’ll own delivery — making sure projects land on time, on budget, and to spec.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of IT installation projects (hardware + software)
- Coordinate multi-site rollouts (offices, hospitals, data centers, retail, etc.)
- Run and attend construction / site meetings with contractors, electricians, and facilities teams
- Manage vendors, subcontractors, and internal IT teams
- Oversee hardware installs (network gear, servers, endpoints, cabling, AV, etc.)
- Ensure software deployments and system integrations are completed successfully
- Track timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies across projects
- Handle site readiness (power, cabling, space, connectivity, access)
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Troubleshoot issues and keep projects moving when things inevitably shift
🧠What We’re Looking For
- 5–10+ years experience in IT Project Management or Technical Delivery
- Strong background in infrastructure installs / deployments
- Experience working alongside construction teams or facilities projects
- Solid understanding of:
- Networking (LAN/WAN, cabling, WiFi)
- Hardware installs (servers, endpoints, racks)
- Software rollouts / system integration
- Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and moving parts
- Comfortable being onsite and hands-on when needed
- Strong communication — able to deal with technical teams + non-technical stakeholders
✅ Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, data center, or large enterprise rollouts
- Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira
- Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or ITIL
- Exposure to structured cabling, low voltage, or AV installs
