About the Client:
Our client is a large-scale organisation within the automotive industry, operating a complex enterprise IT environment in Košice, Slovakia. They are looking for an experienced Network Support Engineer to join their local IT infrastructure team on a long-term basis.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on IT Network Support Engineer to provide 2nd line support across the organisation’s network environment.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, support Cisco infrastructure, and help ensure the availability, performance and reliability of LAN, WAN and WLAN services.
This is a full-time, 100% onsite position in Košice and is ideally suited to someone already based in Slovakia.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide 2nd line support for network-related incidents and service requests
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues across LAN, WAN and WLAN environments
· Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability
· Support and maintain Cisco-based infrastructure, including switches, routers and firewalls
· Diagnose connectivity, routing, switching and network performance issues
· Perform network configuration and troubleshooting activities
· Escalate complex incidents to 3rd line and specialist teams where required
· Work closely with local IT, infrastructure and external support teams
· Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes and network configurations
Candidate Requirements:
· Proven experience in IT Network Support / Network Engineering
· Strong 2nd line network support experience
· Good knowledge of LAN, WAN and WLAN technologies
· Hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers and firewalls
· Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Experience working in an enterprise IT environment
· Good communication and customer-facing skills
· Fluent English is essential
· Slovak language skills are a strong advantage
· Must be able to work full-time onsite in Košice
· Must be based in Slovakia or willing to relocate
