Are you an experienced Maintenance and Production professional with a proven track record of driving operational performance within manufacturing environments? We are supporting a global manufacturing business on a confidential search for an Interim Maintenance & Production Leader to join a large production facility in the Düsseldorf area.

This is a hands-on leadership assignment focused on improving maintenance performance, operational structure, and production reliability across a complex manufacturing operation.

The Role

As Interim Maintenance & Production Leader, you will work closely with site leadership teams to strengthen operational performance, improve maintenance effectiveness, and support production output.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing structured processes, and driving positive change across both maintenance and production functions. This role requires a practical leader who can quickly assess challenges, engage teams, and deliver tangible results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support across maintenance and production teams
• Improve equipment reliability and operational performance
• Identify and implement maintenance best practices and preventative maintenance strategies
• Support ongoing operational improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues and drive effective solutions
• Develop structure, accountability, and performance management within operational teams
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the site to implement sustainable change

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive maintenance and production experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership experience managing operational and technical teams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Demonstrated success delivering maintenance performance improvements
• Experience implementing preventative maintenance programmes and operational best practices
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive organisational change
• Fluent German language skills are essential
