· Financial Reporting & Compliance:
o Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/UK GAAP).
o Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
o Manage the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
· Financial Control & Operations:
o Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
o Manage and optimise all aspects of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
o Oversee treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
o Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
o Manage day-to-day operations of the finance department.
· Business Partnering & Strategic Support:
o Collaborate closely with the FP&A team to provide insightful analysis of financial performance.
o Support the Finance Director/CFO with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects, including due diligence for potential acquisitions, post-acquisition integration, and divestment’s.
o Prepare financial information and presentations for the Private Equity investors and Board of Directors.
· Systems & Data Management:
o Ensure the effective utilisation of ERP systems and other financial software, identifying opportunities for system enhancements and automation.
