HSE Compliance & Risk Management
Oversee implementation of the plant’s Safety Management System (SMS) in line with Seveso III requirements for high-hazard installations.
Conduct and document risk assessments (Gefährdungsbeurteilungen), job safety analyses (JSA), and hazardous area classifications.
Ensure proper issuance and control of work permits (hot work, confined space, working at height, electrical isolation).
2. Incident Prevention & Investigation
Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations using root cause analysis (RCA) methods.
Maintain and analyze safety performance metrics (LTIFR, TRIR, environmental KPIs) and recommend improvements.
Develop and enforce emergency preparedness plans and drills in cooperation with local fire brigades and authorities.
3. Safety Culture & Training
Conduct toolbox talks, HSE inductions, and refresher training for plant employees and contractors.
Promote behavioural safety programs and encourage reporting of unsafe conditions.
Mentor and coach operational staff on safe work practices.
