Housing Support Officer

Location: West London
Contract: Temporary – 3 Months (potential to extend)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

We are working on behalf of a housing provider in West London to recruit an experienced Housing Support Officer for an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a great opportunity for a housing professional who is available immediately or at short notice and wants to make an impact from day one.

The Role

You will be responsible for providing high-quality housing management and support to residents, working closely with internal teams and external partner agencies to ensure tenants are supported to sustain their tenancies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering a responsive housing management service to a caseload of tenants, including those with support needs
• Conducting tenancy visits, sign-ups, and reviews
• Working proactively to prevent tenancy breakdown, including early intervention on rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and safeguarding concerns
• Liaising with support services, local authorities, and other external agencies to coordinate care and support plans
• Maintaining accurate case notes and records in line with data protection requirements
• Supporting void management and re-letting processes where required
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and regulatory standards

About You

• Previous experience in a Housing Support Officer, Housing Officer, or similar tenancy/support role
• Strong understanding of housing management, tenancy sustainment, and safeguarding practices
• Experience working with vulnerable client groups
• Excellent communication and case-recording skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and work well under pressure
• Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
