Overview
We are working with a well‑established, international manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire, seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its European finance function. This is a senior, highly visible leadership role with full ownership of financial strategy, reporting, and performance across multiple entities and currencies.
This opportunity is suited to a commercially driven finance leader with deep manufacturing experience and a proven track record operating at board level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy across multiple European entities
- Deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Drive cost control, margin improvement, and operational efficiency
- Provide strategic financial insight to senior leadership and the board
- Oversee multi‑currency P&L and balance sheet responsibility
- Support investment decisions, CapEx, and M&A activity
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent)
- 10+ years’ senior finance leadership experience
- Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven multi‑entity and multi‑currency finance expertise
- Hands‑on approach with strong commercial and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
