Hardware engineer

Requirements:
 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, ideally within, industrial electronics, automotive systems, or embedded electronics environments.
  • Strong experience across the full hardware development V-model lifecycle.
  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Customer requirement review and technical alignment.
  • Hardware requirements specification.
  • Hardware architecture design.
  • Electronic circuit design.
  • Simulations, calculations, and prototype PCB development.
  • PCB layout design and reviews.
  • Production data preparation and EMS industrialization support.
  • PCB manufacturing data, BOM management, and End-of-Line (EOL) test specifications.
  • Hardware commissioning, validation, and laboratory testing support.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and rapidly integrate into an established engineering team.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Support hardware development activities throughout the complete V-model lifecycle.
  • Review and align customer requirements and translate them into hardware specifications.
  • Develop hardware architectures and electronic circuit designs for new and existing products.
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and prototype PCB development to validate concepts.
  • Create, review, and support PCB layouts to ensure manufacturability and performance requirements.
  • Prepare production data packages, BOMs, and technical documentation for manufacturing and industrialization.
  • Define and support End-of-Line testing strategies and hardware verification activities.
  • Commission and debug hardware in the laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate closely with test engineers and support automated hardware and pack-level testing activities.
  • Act as a senior technical contributor, providing guidance and driving engineering decisions where required.

Logistics:
 

  • Location: Graz, Austria.
  • Onsite requirement: Minimum 3 days per week.
  • 40 hours per week
  • Contract duration: 12 months preferred, with potential extension.
  • Start: October
  • Eligibility: EU citizen required.
  • Seniority: Senior-level professional capable of operating autonomously with limited onboarding and supervision.
