Graduate Planner – Wareham, Dorset

We are currently working with a well-established and growing town planning consultancy based in Wareham who are looking to appoint an ambitious Graduate Planner to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent planning graduate looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of residential, commercial and rural planning projects across the South of England.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced planners and directors, supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications, policy research, client liaison and wider project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of planning applications and supporting statements
- Undertaking planning policy and site research
- Supporting senior planners on a range of development projects
- Liaising with local authorities, clients and external consultants
- Assisting with planning appeals and representations
- Attending meetings and site visits where required
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastic, proactive and keen to learn
- An interest in progressing towards MRTPI status
- Full UK driving licence advantageous
