Freelance Tech Lead Developer .NET / Azure / AI

I’m currently looking for an experienced Tech Lead Developer .NET to join a new greenfield application development project for a public organisation.
 
This is a hands-on technical leadership role within a new AI-focused development team, where you’ll help bring a brand-new application to life using modern .NET and Azure technologies. The architecture is already in place, while the development frameworks, tooling and implementation are being established together with the Dev Platform team.
 
Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Long-term freelance contract
Dutch: essential
Working model : Hybrid (50% on site)
 
Responsibilities
🔹 Take hands-on technical leadership of the development of a new greenfield application
🔹 Develop scalable backend services and APIs using .NET / .NET Core
🔹 Contribute to Azure-native development and cloud-based solutions
🔹 Help establish and implement the development frameworks and technical standards
🔹 Work closely with the Dev Platform team on the implementation of the development environment
🔹 Support and guide other developers as the team grows
🔹 Contribute to the implementation of AI-assisted development practices, including GitHub Copilot
🔹 Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability and technical excellence
 
Requirements
🔹 Strong professional experience with .NET / .NET Core / C#
🔹 Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Technical Lead or Lead Developer
🔹 Experience with Azure / Azure-native development
🔹 Experience with SQL Server
🔹 Experience with Angular and full-stack development is highly desirable
