Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Electrical Site Manager to support the delivery of a major railway infrastructure project in Stuttgart. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site electrical installation activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
Candidates should have a strong background in Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical installations, with railway experience considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily electrical construction activities on site.
- Coordinate electrical contractors, subcontractors, and installation teams.
- Oversee LV and MV electrical installations, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Monitor site progress and provide regular updates to project management.
- Coordinate interfaces between civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with German health & safety regulations and site procedures.
- Manage site documentation, inspections, permits, and reporting requirements.
- Support planning, scheduling, and resolution of technical issues during installation.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate stakeholder activities.
Requirements
Fluent German (mandatory)
Proven experience as a Site Manager, Electrical Site Manager, or Electrical Supervisor
Strong experience with:
- Low Voltage (LV) Systems
- Medium Voltage (MV) Systems
- Electrical Installation & Commissioning
- Site Management & Contractor Coordination
Railway infrastructure experience desirable but not essential
 Ability to manage multiple contractors and workstreams within a live construction environment
Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality requirements
