Freelance Senior Data Engineer – Python / ETL / SAS / Oracle
I’m currently looking for a freelance Data Engineer to join a long-term data migration project for a major organisation in the insurance sector.
The project involves the migration of SAS-based data processes into an on-premise data environment, with a strong focus on Python, ETL and Oracle. You’ll work on the design and development of robust data pipelines, data integration and data transformation processes within a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities
🔹 Design and develop Python-based ETL pipelines
🔹 Migrate and transform existing SAS data processes
🔹 Develop data integration workflows between Oracle and SQL Server environments
🔹 Write and optimise SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL
🔹 Build and maintain robust data processing and data warehouse solutions
🔹 Ensure data quality, validation and consistency throughout the ETL process
🔹 Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to understand existing SAS processes and translate them into new solutions
🔹 Contribute to the design of the target on-premise data architecture
