Client: Manufacturing Company (Industrial Heating, Cooling, and Refrigeration Systems)
Contract Length: 12 Months (with potential extension)
Location: NRW, Germany (Remote with agreed business trips)
About the Role:
We’re partnering with a leading manufacturer of industrial heating, cooling, and refrigeration units to find an experienced Security Operations Specialist. This role focuses on securing both IT and OT environments within their manufacturing systems. You’ll be responsible for identifying and addressing security risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the company’s critical infrastructure.
Position Overview:
As a Security Operations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for protecting both IT and OT systems, ensuring their security and compliance with industry standards. Your work will focus on securing automation systems and manufacturing environments, collaborating with internal teams to strengthen their overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
IT & OT Security Management: Oversee security operations across both IT and OT environments, ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure.
Risk & Compliance Oversight: Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST, particularly for industrial systems.
Security Strategy & Incident Response: Develop and implement security measures and incident response plans for IT and OT systems.
Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with internal teams (security architects, engineers) to ensure effective security measures are in place.
Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor the security environment and provide regular updates on security status to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with security goals.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and improve security practices to strengthen the overall security posture.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7-10 years in security operations, focusing on both IT and OT security. Experience in manufacturing, automation, or similar industries is preferred.
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST) and experience securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
Risk Management: Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for both IT and OT environments.
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience with Industrial Systems: Experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments is essential to understand the security challenges specific to these sectors.
